David Rosenberg Crop.jpgDavid Rosenberg, Chief Economist & Strategist, Gluskin Sheff & Associates

Mr. Rosenberg is the Firm’s Chief Economist & Strategist with a focus on providing a top-down perspective to the Firm’s investment process and Asset Mix Committee. Mr. Rosenberg received both a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Toronto. Prior to joining Gluskin Sheff in the spring of 2009, Mr. Rosenberg was Chief North American Economist at Merrill Lynch in New York for seven years, during which he was consistently ranked in the Institutional Investor All-Star analyst rankings. Prior thereto, he was Chief Economist and Strategist for Merrill Lynch Canada, based out of Toronto. 
Mr. Rosenberg is also the author of Breakfast with Dave, a daily distillation of his economic and financial market insights.

Joseph Kalish is the chief global macro strategist for Ned Davis Research Group. He has been following and studying financial and economic trends for over 30 years. Joe and his team are responsible for all of the firm's bond and economic analysis. The macro team assists the firm's equity strategists by identifying relevant economic trends and fundamental themes and providing historical market perspectives. They collaborate with the global strategy team and provide economic analysis through global and regional commentary. They also work closely with the U.S. strategy team in helping to formulate the economic outlook for the major sectors of the economy.

In recent years, Joe has been particularly focused on credit trends and credit-sensitive sectors of the economy, including residential and commercial real estate, banking, autos, manufacturing and trade, and has written extensively on these topics. Joe was also a portfolio manager and trader for an equity mutual fund for five years. He is a member of the National Association for Business Economics, and is regularly quoted and interviewed by the financial media in the U.S. and internationally.

Joe received his Bachelor of Science degree in information systems management cum laude from the University of Maryland and his master of business administration degree in finance, with distinction, from the Stern School of Business of New York University.

Thomas has over 20 years of experience in macro markets and equity research.  Prior to co-founding the independent strategy research boutique, Fundstrat Global Advisors, he served as Chief Equity Strategist of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. from 2007 through 2014. And prior to that, was both a highly regarded telecommunications equity research analyst and also small -cap equity/ bankruptcy/reorg strategist (2004-2010). 
He is known for his data-driven approach (“analysis not opinions”) as well as his identification of secular drivers of market forces such as generational shifts, leverage cycle or technological disruption.  His clients view his work as both contrarian and highly differentiated, as his approach incorporates an extensive study of historical fundamentals, reliance on credit and cross market leading indicators, as well as market-based views driven by positioning and sentiment.
Recently, he has brought this focus onto Crypto-currencies and blockchain, as the innovation of this area looks like a rejuvenation of the industrial/technological revolution.
He has also received numerous award and recognition during his career.  He has been top ranked by Institutional Investor (II) and from 1998 to 2013, was top-ranked 1, 2 or 3 every single year. 
He was at J.P.Morgan from 1999 to 2014.  He has previously served as Managing Director at Salomon Smith Barney from 1996-1999. And prior to that was at Kidder, Peabody and Oppenheimer.
He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA) and the Economic Club of NY.
He received his BSE from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance and Accounting.

Josh Deems leads business development for Fidelity Digital Assets, which provides enterprise-grade digital asset solutions for institutional investors. Prior to joining Fidelity, he led coverage of both public and private applications of blockchain and cryptocurrencies within State Street's Emerging Technologies Center. Prior to State Street, Josh spent six years as a management consultant in the asset management sector.
Josh holds a B.B.A. from the George Washington University.

Tuur Demeester is founding partner of Adamant Capital, a Bitcoin Alpha fund. In January 2012, Demeester added Bitcoin ($5 at the time) as part of the recommended currency basket of his investment newsletter MacroTrends. The reputation algorithm of hive.one currently ranks him as 9th most influential personality in the Bitcoin industry. He’s an investor in Bitcoin exchange Kraken and previously co-founded the Rothbard Institute. His academic research background is in business cycle theory and philosophy of law.

Scott is Vice President of Government Relations and Public Affairs for Fidelity Investments, serving in this role for the past seven years. He is a member of the Texas executive leadership team and is responsible for all of Fidelity’s regional governmental relationships at the local, state and federal levels, working closely with Fidelity’s Washington-based team. He also oversees Fidelity’s civic and community relations efforts, including volunteerism for its more than 5,500 Texas-based employees and working with its strategic nonprofit partners and other philanthropic efforts. He speaks frequently to client groups and financial professionals regarding the regulatory and political climate in Washington and its implications for investors.
In Scott’s original career with Fidelity Investments, he worked for 12 years as portfolio manager and money market group leader in the fixed income department of Fidelity Management & Research, managing over $11 billion in money market mutual funds. He currently is a member of the Dallas Citizens Council, Chairman of the North Texas Commission and Vice Chair of the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Public Policy Committee. He also serves on the boards of the Fort Worth Chamber, CNM, Dallas CASA, Dallas Theater Center, The Cliburn, Texas Ballet Theater, Public Affairs Council, TTARA and Abilene Christian Investment Management Company.  Between his time at Fidelity as portfolio manager and his current role, Scott spent a decade serving as the President of two nonprofit organizations and seven years as a School Board Trustee for Coppell Independent School District.  Scott is a Chartered Financial Analyst and earned a BBA degree in accounting from Abilene Christian University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Marguerita M. Cheng is the Chief Executive Officer at Blue Ocean Global Wealth. Marguerita is a past spokesperson for the AARP Financial Freedom Campaign and a regular columnist for Investopedia & Kiplinger. She is a member of CNBC Digital Financial Advisor Council. She is a CFP® professional, a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM, a Retirement Income Certified Professional® and a Certified Divorce Financial AnalystTM. As a Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board) Ambassador, Marguerita helps educate the public, policy makers, and media about the benefits of competent, ethical financial planning. She serves as a Women’s Initiative (WIN) Advocate and member of the Diversity Advisory Group (DAG) for CFP Board. She served on the Financial Planning Association (FPA) National Board of Directors from 2013 – 2015 and is a past president of the Financial Planning Association of the National Capital Area (FPA NCA).

Ms. George is an RIA external investment consultant and a director with Allianz Global Investors, which she joined in 2013. She is a member of the RIA Sales team, Southeastern Division, responsible for coverage throughout the southeast. Ms. George has 23 years of investment-industry experience.
Before joining the firm, she was a senior regional consulting group director at Morgan Stanley, and a managed account consultant representing investment teams at Rittenhouse, NWQ, Symphony and Nuveen. Ms. George began her career in the trust department of AmSouth Bancorporation.
She has a B.S. in business, magna cum laude, from The University of Alabama. Ms. George holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation.​

Lisa McDaniel has more than 20 years of experience in investment portfolio management and client service. She currently utilizes her experience as a practitioner in the financial services industry to teach corporate finance and financial statement analysis at the University of North Texas College of Business. She also interacts with students through organizations such as the Financial Management Association and the CFA Research Challenge.
Prior to her current role Ms. McDaniel worked with both private wealth and institutional clients as an investment advisor and portfolio manager. In those roles, she developed and executed investment strategy for clients and provided economic commentary. She managed institutional fixed-income accounts and collective funds in excess of $1 billion in assets.
Ms. McDaniel received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Arkansas.  She has also attained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.  She is a past President of the CFA Society of Arkansas and of the CFA Society of Dallas/Fort Worth. She has also served as a director of the CFA Societies of Texas. Ms. McDaniel is a 2015 recipient of the CFA Society of DFW Distinguished Member Award and continues to serve as a director for the CFA Society of DFW. where she spearheads the Women in Investment Management initiative.

Jennifer Roosth, AAMS is a Houston native and a graduate of The Kinkaid School, Princeton University and The London School of Economics and Politics. She worked her first Wall Street job at 17 years old as an intern with Paine Webber in New York. Since then, she has worked on the equity trading desk at Israel Englander’s Millennium Capital, and as a private wealth advisor with Morgan Stanley and Raymond James.  Jennifer is the Founder and Immediate Past President of The Houston Chapter of The Ellevate Network (formerly 85 Broads), the largest international women’s professional network. She is an advocate for financial literacy for women as a contributing author for The Houston Business Journal about Trends in Financial Planning, a frequent network television guest and a public speaker.

Marshall Gandy is a Senior Officer and Associate Regional Director in the Fort Worth Regional Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Gandy leads a staff of forty-five accountants, examiners, attorneys, and support personnel responsible for examining broker-dealers, investment companies, investment advisers, hedge fund managers, private equity firms, municipal advisers and transfer agents in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. In addition, Mr. Gandy serves on the Executive Committee for the SEC’s National Examination Program.
From 1999 through 2007, Mr. Gandy was a Trial Attorney in the Fort Worth Regional Office with litigation responsibility for enforcement actions authorized by the Commission in United States District Courts involving violations the federal securities laws. Prior to returning the Commission in 2012, Mr. Gandy served as Senior Regional Counsel in Dallas District Office of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. In addition, Mr. Gandy has assisted several United States Attorneys’ offices in the preparation and presentation of criminal prosecutions involving securities fraud and related offenses. Mr. Gandy began his legal career in Dallas, Texas as a County Criminal Court Judge and an Assistant District Attorney. He obtained his J.D. from the Southern Methodist University.


Joe Gorder, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Valero Energy Corporation

Joe Gorder serves as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Valero Energy Corporation. Prior to his appointment as Chairman of the Board on December 31, 2014 and Chief Executive Officer on May 1, 2014, Mr. Gorder served as Chief Operating Officer and President, responsible for refining operations and commercial operations in marketing, supply, logistics and transportation. He was previously Chief Commercial Officer and President of Valero Europe.
Gorder also serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Valero Energy Partners LP and is on the Board of Directors of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. He also serves as Chairman of the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM).
A native of Missouri, Joe earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a master’s degree in business administration from Our Lady of the Lake University.
Joe and his wife, Lacie, have two children and six grandchildren.​

Lee Partridge founded Sorrel Leaf Capital in 2017 with the dual purpose of acquiring multifamily real estate assets and providing asset-based loans to small businesses. In this capacity, he completed the acquisition of Huntington Park Apartments, a 92-unit apartment community in Beaumont, Texas. Prior to founding Sorrel Leaf Capital, Mr. Partridge Leeserved as the Chief Investment Officer for Salient Partners/Integrity Capital. He founded Integrity Capital, which grew to $10 billion in assets under management and was acquired by Salient Partners.
Mr. Partridge served as the Deputy Chief Investment Officer for the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, the sixth largest pension system in the United States with over $132 billion in assets. Mr. Partridge also held executive positions within the insurance and banking industries. He has been a frequent guest on CNBC, Fox Business News and Bloomberg News. Mr. Partridge holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations. He holds an M.B.A. degree from Rice University and a B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Houston.​
