CFA Program Information Session
CFA Society Vancouver is hosting a CFA Program information session on November 18th with keynote speaker Michael McMillan from CFA Institute. This session is ideal for investment professionals looking to upgrade their credentials, professionals transitioning to a new career, and students wanting to enter the investment industry. It is not intended for people already enrolled in the CFA Program.
The Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) credential has become the most respected and recognized investment designation in the world; enrolling in the CFA Program is your first step toward earning this qualification.
The CFA Program curriculum covers concepts and skills you will use at all stages of your career, bridging academic theory, current industry practice, and ethical and professional standards to provide a strong foundation of advanced investment analysis and real-world portfolio management skills.
WHO EARNS THE CFA CHARTER?
The CFA Program curriculum
is designed to complement your experience with a broad range of skills determined to be most relevant by investment practitioners and employers. Acquiring this additional knowledge will enhance your professional abilities and will increase your standing with colleagues, clients, and your employer.
Many non-investment professionals, such as attorneys and accountants, choose to earn the CFA charter to gain broader professional expertise. If you are developing an additional area of proficiency or if you are seeking to make a career change into the investment profession, completing the CFA Program is a cost-effective way to gain the skills you need for success in today's global investment profession and to signal the seriousness of your intentions.
If you are a student planning to enter the finance or investment profession, there is no better way to signal your commitment and your ability to perform at a high level than by enrolling in the CFA Program, learning the skills you will need to succeed in the investment industry, and earning the CFA charter.
HOW IS THE CFA PROGRAM DIFFERENT?
Most graduate school programs cover a broad range of topics; the CFA Program focuses specifically on investment knowledge. The self-study format makes it easier for you to continue working full time while you earn the charter. Employers know the CFA Program provides the skills needed to succeed in an investment career and that earning the CFA charter demonstrates the commitment to excellence required of today’s investment professionals.
