Join us on May 11 at 4 PM ET for a live webinar discussion with ETF expert, Mariana Fariña Bush, CFA, Managing Director for Global Manager Research, a division of the Wells Fargo Investment Institute. Mariana is the head of the closed-end fund (CEF) and exchange-traded tracking product (ETP) research team at Wells Fargo and has worked for over 30 years in the financial services industry. She will discuss how she navigated her investment career path and share her insights on the changes and trends in passive management, including CEFs and ETFs.

Ms. Fariña Bush has appeared in Barron's, Bloomberg, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal and other leading financial publications. She began her career at Furman Selz in New York, then joined a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo in 1991.  She is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society, Washington, D.C., and a graduate of Princeton University.

Research Director, Wells Fargo Investment Institute

Mariana Fariña Bush is a managing director for Global Manager Research (GMR), a division of Wells Fargo Investment Institute (WFII). The GMR team conducts due diligence and provides research on the third-party money managers used throughout Wells Fargo's brokerage, private banking, family wealth, and retirement businesses.

Ms. Bush began her career at Furman Selz in New York as an associate analyst following technology companies long before the Internet became a household name. She joined the firm in 1991 as an analyst in Investment Strategy and has remained steady through five legacy firms following mergers and acquisitions over almost three decades. Ms. Bush began following closed-end funds in 1993, and she assumed coverage of exchange-traded products in 1996. She has been widely quoted in publications such as Barron's, Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal, while being a frequent and active participant in industry conferences.

Equity Analyst, CFRA, Equity and Fund Research

Pauline Bell is an equity analyst at CFRA Research, conducting fundamental analysis and valuation assessment within the U.S. Regional Banks, Canadian Diversified Banks, and Investment Banking & Brokerage areas. 

Prior to joining CFRA, she worked as a loan officer for the Export-Import Bank of the United States, specializing in project and export finance with a focus on the energy and satellite transactions. Prior to that, she was an analyst with a boutique private equity firm in Washington, DC. She currently serves as a board member of the Washington Association of Money Managers and is the Subcommittee Co-Chair for Women’s Investment Network, CFA Society of Washington, DC.

Cancellations, Substitution, and Refund Requests
  • Substitutions are welcome at any time
  • Cancelations must be made in writing and emailed to on or before 5 business days prior to the event
  • No refunds will be processed after 5 pm ET, 5 business days prior to the event
  • A $25 administrative fee will be applied to all cancellations
  • Refunds will not be issued for no shows
