CFA SOCIETY WINNIPEG JOINED THE COLLABORATIVE WIM INITIATIVE

The Collaborative WIM Initiative is modeled after the CFA Institute Women In Investment (WIM) Initiative.

CFA societies and FPA chapters around the country have joined efforts to further our shared goals of inclusion and diversity in capitalism.

  • This is a grassroots campaign:
  • To empower female professionals across all facets of the finance industry
  • To support the advancement and development of female leaders, as well as to celebrate their accomplishments
  • To establish a broad-based community and share resources to promote our shared vision
  • To create demand for diversity

In Undiversified, experienced practitioners Ellen Carr and Katrina Dudley examine the lack of women in investment management and propose solutions to improve the imbalance. They explore the barriers that subtly but effectively discourage women from entering and staying in the industry at each point in the pipeline. At the entry level, the lack of visible role models discourages students from considering the field, and those who do embark on an investment management career face many obstacles to retention and promotion.
