CFA Society Portugal honored Miguel Falcão, CFA, with the Volunteer of the Year award during the Charter Award Ceremony. The award recognizes Miguel's exceptional contribution to the CFA community and his key role in promoting collaboration among Portuguese-speaking professionals in the financial sector.
Since joining the Board of CFA Society Portugal in 2019, Miguel has stood out for his commitment and dedication. This year, he almost single-handedly led the creation of the Portuguese-speaking CFA Community, an initiative that already brings together more than 300 professionals from various countries and regions, including Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Macau, Goa, Brazil, and members of the Portuguese diaspora around the world.
As a result of his work, CFA Society Portugal became an advisory member of the CPLP (Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries) and established a partnership with the CMC (Angolan Capital Markets Commission), through which financial workshops were held by members of CFA Society Portugal and Brazil, aimed at Angolan professionals.
In addition to these initiatives, Miguel also serves as secretary of CFA Society Portugal and was one of those responsible for the design and development of Webinars on Financial Professions, reinforcing the society's commitment to training and continuing professional development.
The Volunteer of the Year award recognizes Miguel Falcão's CFAleadership, global vision, and outstanding contribution to strengthening the CFA community and promoting financial literacy in Portuguese-speaking countries.
