Mission Statement: To lead the Hawaii investment profession by promoting fellowship and the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence for the ultimate benefit of our community.
CFA Society Hawaii is an association of local investment professionals. Consisting of portfolio managers, investment advisors, educators, and other financial professionals, we:
- promote ethical and professional standards within the investment industry,
- encourage professional development through the CFA Program and continuing education,
- facilitate the exchange of information and opinions among people within the local investment community and beyond, and;
- work to further the public's understanding of the CFA designation and investment industry.
Our Local Society
As one of CFA Institute member societies, CFA Society Hawaii connects members to a global network of investment professionals.
We also provide to our local financial community access to insights on the financial markets from leading edge practitioners. We do this through our Continuing Education series (open to the public, by RSVP, nominal fee for lunch), in-depth investment events, and our annual Forecast Dinner (usually held in the first week of March). For our up and coming professionals in college, we participate in the global CFA Institute Research Challenge, sponsoring a local competition among Hawaii universities and sending the winning team to compete in the regionals (and beyond). We provide a number of mentoring and networking opportunities for our college proteges and look forward to expanding our reach to even younger students.
