Research Challenge 2021-2022

CFASM hosted its Research Challenge competition for the year 2021 on 2nd March 2022 at Flying Dodo, Bagatelle Mauritius. 
The University of Mauritius was the Local Final Winner. The research piece was conducted on the Mauritius Union as the subject company.

Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Shaping the Future - Hybrid Workshop

The CFA Society Mauritius in collaboration with the RCE (Regional Centre of Excellence) of the Financial Services Commission hosted the hybrid workshop on 27th April 2023 at the Nex Tower, Ebene, Mauritius. 

ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) is a framework that helps stakeholders to understand how an organisation can manage risks and seize opportunities related to environmental, social and governance criteria.

Talk Session - Navigating the Current Financial Landscape - Importance of Diversification

CFA Society Mauritius in collaboration with Amicorp (Mauritius) hosted a talk session on Wednesday, 24th May 2023 at Flying Dodo, Bagatelle by our Guest Speaker, Mr Jorge Garcia - Garcia, Managing Director at Liwa Capital. 
The presentation provided an overview of the current investment landscape, emphasizing the role that venture capital and private equity can play in portfolio diversification.  This talk covered diversification strategies, the potential for enhanced returns, risk mitigation, and introduced practical tools and resources for building well-balanced portfolios.
