 Annual Forecast Dinner

The Annual Forecast Dinner has been a CFA Society Calgary tradition since 1977 and is the premier event hosted by the Society. The audience for this event is drawn primarily from both CFA Charterholders and the broader professional community in Calgary. Past attendance levels have been 1,000 to 1,400 people, including significant representatives from the elite in Calgary's finance and business communities. Calgary's Annual Forecast Dinner continues to be one of the most successful events of its kind, and is the largest Forecast Dinner in North America.

Members, associates, and leaders from the business and investment communities gather to hear prominent members from the financial world speak, and to honour the achievements of CFA Society Calgary members, including the Volunteer of the Year and Forecaster of the Year awards. The Society is committed to ensuring the Forecast Dinner remains a leading event Calgary's professional community.

 Not Your Usual Forecast Dinner

In 2021, CFA Societies Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg joined forces to collaborate on
A Conversation with Michael Lewis – Not Your Usual Forecast Dinner.

This virtual event took place on January 21, 2021 and brought bring Michael Lewis, Geoff Colvin, and Margaret Franklin, CFA, to attendees' screens for discussions on what we can expect to see in 2021 and beyond after the challenges brought by the events of 2020. Although the evening looked much different this year, we are thrilled with the overall success of the evening. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this rather unusual Forecast Dinner experience, and we hope to see you all in person in 2022.
