 2023 Annual Forecast Dinner

Financial markets have seen turbulent tides throughout 2022. The TSX is down, the S&P 500 is down even farther, and the Bank of Canada has put forward six rate hikes to date. How will investors navigate the changing currents that 2023 is sure to bring?

Join us on January 19, 2023, as we endeavour to answer this question!

The evening's program will begin with a keynote speech from Jon Cornish, CFA. Jon Cornish is a Canadian Football Hall of Famer who spent 9 years playing for the Calgary Stampeders & racked up numerous accomplishments. Even more impressive are the mounting accomplishments Jon has obtained in the years following the CFL. Jon's story is sure to leave you feeling 'inspired'.

Next, we will welcome our esteemed panel to provide a wealth of 'information' and insight. Moderated by Frances Horodelski, CFA, the panel will discuss today's market volatility from a domestic and international macro perspective. We welcome Jim Bianco, Heather Loomis Tighe, and Joseph Wang for this discussion on macro trends, interest rates, equities, fixed income, and more.

May the evening bring forth inspiration and information for the year ahead.

The Annual Forecast Dinner is the marquee event hosted by CFA Society Calgary and is one of the largest Forecast Dinners in North America. We welcome both CFA Charterholders and the broader professional community in Calgary!
