 2021 Forecast Event

In 2021, CFA Societies Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg joined forces to collaborate on A Conversation with Michael Lewis – Not Your Usual Forecast Dinner.

This virtual event took place on January 21, 2021 and brought bring Michael Lewis, Geoff Colvin, and Margaret Franklin, CFA, to attendees' screens for discussions on what we can expect to see in 2021 and beyond after the challenges brought by the events of 2020. Although the evening looked much different this year, we are thrilled with the overall success of the evening. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this rather unusual Forecast Dinner experience.

 2022 Annual Forecast Dinner

What does the future of finance look like? How will cryptocurrency and web 3.0 transform not just the finance industry but the whole world? How will the unpredictability and fragility of our systems (supply chains, food, transportation, water, conflict, etc.) play into the future of finance? Fintech is changing how we interact with banks and other financial services firms. How will decentralized finance change the face of trading? Cybersecurity is a fundamental concern as we continue to transition our lives to an online world. Join us at this year's 45th Annual Forecast Dinner to touch on these topics and more as we discuss the future of finance.

The Annual Forecast Dinner is back at Calgary at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre! In addition to a discussion on the future of finance and how technology is disrupting the industry with Brett King and Dee Smith, we will also be treated to the sounds of Dueling Piano Kings during our in-person reception.

Registration for the 45th Annual Forecast Dinner is now closed,
we look forward to seeing you at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre on Wednesday, May 4 at 4:30 PM.
