    September Coffee Chat

    Wed, Sep 16, 09:00 AM - 10:00 AM (ET)
CFAP invites members and guests to its popular Coffee Chat Series, sponsored by the Women’s Leadership Initiative. These informal gatherings provide a welcoming setting for members to connect, exchange perspectives, and engage in meaningful conversations around pre-selected professional and leadership topics. Coffee Chats will be held on the third Wednesday of each month, alternating between locations in Center City and the Western Suburbs, making it easy for members across the region to participate and build new professional connections. Seating is limited to encourage an intimate, interactive discussion, so advance registration is strongly encouraged. Both men and women are welcome to attend.   The first Coffee Chat in the Series will explore Career Growth Without Sacrificing Authenticity: The Leadership Balancing Act . Participants will discuss the challenges of advancing professionally while staying true to their values and leadership style, with conversation focused on authenticity versus adaptability, executive presence, leadership transitions, sponsorship, and visibility, finding your voice, and leading with confidence rather than conformity. A brief Harvard Business Review pre-read, What Makes an “Authentic” Leader? will help frame the discussion, with The Authenticity Paradox offered as optional additional reading. The conversation will begin with the question, “Have you ever felt that advancing your career required you to behave in ways that did not feel natural to you?” and conclude with insights participants can use to develop a distinctive and authentic personal leadership brand.   Upcoming topics in the Series include:   The Leadership Tax: Why High Performers Often Get Rewarded with More Work The Power of Strategic Relationships Radical Candor & The Feedback Loop for Female Leaders Saying "No" to Non-Promotable Work, AKA Office Housework Redefining "Work-Life Balance" to "Work-Life Integration”   Coffe and breakfast bites will be served.   Registration is free of charge Click here to register
