Event Description

Financial Innovation and complex financial Instruments -together with questionable business models - were part of the reasons that were blamed for creating the 2007 crisis.

Today the financial landscape has greatly changed with new forms of innovation emerging. As a finance professional, you must be familiar with:
- trends regarding financial innovation, and trends in complex or innovative financial instruments including: ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings), Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), FinTechs and RegTechs
new MIFID product intervention powers to prevent unsuitable financial innovations which may be detrimental to consumers and financial stability
- recent initiatives taken to foster innovation such as the French new regulatory framework on ICOs, initiatives by CFA Institute and CFA Society France, and an overview, one year after inception, of the European Commission working group on innovation and fintechs
Please note: this event will be held in French, though questions in English are welcomed.
