Membership requirements  |  Work experience guidelines  |  Professional references


  • Regular.  Recommended for CFA charterholders and CFA candidates with work experience.  You must have a bachelor's degree, a passing score on CFA Level I Exam, 48 months of professional work experience in investment decision making, and three professional references.
  • Affiliate.  Recommended for investment professionals who do not intend to participate in the CFA Program.  You must have three professional references and be eligible for local society membership.
  • Adjunct.  Ideal for those in the early stages of the CFA Program or Investment Foundations Program, students, academics, and professionals who do not intend to participate in the CFA Program.  Adjunct members enjoy the same CFA Society Indianapolis benefits of Regular members except: no access to CFA Institute benefits, no voting rights, and cannot hold office in CFA Society Indianapolis.  Annual membership is $20 for students and $80 for non-students, and includes all society membership benefits listed above.
