Outline

Seeking global comparability of sustainability information, the IFRS Foundation is now establishing the International Sustainability Standards Board(ISSB), which will publish the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards. The IFRS Foundation will consolidate the Value Reporting Foundation (also known as the VRF, which resulted from the merger of SASB and the IIRC), and CDSB, which have supported non-financial disclosure for the capital markets. Since last year, in addition to these three organisations, TCFD and IOSCO have been working together in a preparatory committee (TRWG) and published prototypes that will be the basis for future development standards.
From the ESG investments perspective, the new standards are focused on providing a comprehensive global baseline of high-quality disclosure.
In this Webinar, VRF CEO Janine Guillot, who has contributed to the formation of ISSB, and Makoto Sonoda from Japan FSA, who has been working to improve corporate disclosure, will both give you some insights about what's going on surrounding the new Standards. Mr Sonoda is also a committee chair of IOSCO(International Organization of Securities Commissions), Chairman of the Committee on Accounting, Auditing and Disclosure will have presentations.

A panel discussion is also planned for the second half.

新基準を提供する組織ISSB(international Sustainability Standard Board)には、これまで非財務開示を支えてきた、SASBとIIRC(現在はVRF)、CDSBが合併されます。
