Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) has achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first Jordanian university to reach the Global Final of the CFA Institute Research Challenge and only the second Arab university to do so in the competition’s 20-year history.
Recognized as one of the most prestigious global finance competitions, the CFA Research Challenge tests the highest levels of analytical rigor and investment expertise. PSUT’s journey reflects exceptional performance, beginning with a first-place win at the national level, followed by leading the EMEA region—outperforming more than 400 universities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The team now ranks among the final six teams worldwide, out of more than 1,100 universities that initially entered the competition. This achievement follows a series of outstanding performances, including success in the Sub-Regional contest and advancement through the EMEA Regional semi-finals.
PSUT is set to represent Jordan in the Global Final in Hong Kong on 12 May, competing against California State University, the University of Waterloo, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the University of Ljubljana for the world title.
