Long/Short Equity Conviction Idea Roundtable
Moderated by Bryan Applequist, CFA and Dan Barker, CFA
March 2, 2017
Please join us for a fun/collaborative discussion for fundamental equity investors of all styles to present and share their best stock investment ideas/themes. Participating investors are expected to briefly present their investment idea and moderate the associated Q&A. Investors of all disciplines (Value/Growth/Special Situations, etc.) are encouraged to attend. Ideas must be “institutionally” actionable, but can include small capitalization stocks. The Roundtable will meet three times/year, with meetings scheduled for March, May and October. Both long and short ideas are welcome at all meetings, but we will orientate the May meeting to focus on short ideas.
Attendees will have 3-5 minutes to pitch their idea, followed by a short Q&A discussion. The pitch should include Company Name/Stock Ticker/Market Cap/Price target and 3-5 bullet points on the Investment Case/Risks to streamline the discussion. No handouts are required.
*A moderator will keep track of all pitches and highlight the best performer at the end of the year, winning a $100 gift certificate to a local restaurant.
