Dr. McMillan joined CFA Institute in October of 2008 after more than a decade as a professor of accounting and finance at Johns Hopkins University's Carey School of Business and George Washington University's School of Business. Prior to pursuing a career in academia, he was a securities analyst and portfolio manager at Bailard, Biehl, and Kaiser and Merus Capital Management in San Francisco, California.
 
As the Director, Ethics Education, Dr. McMillan is responsible for creating and developing educational content for CFA Institute members and investment professionals in the area of ethics and professional standards. Prior to joining the Institute, Dr. McMillan served in a variety of volunteer capacities at the CFA Institute. He was a member of the Council of Examiners for 10 years, and a grader for the CFA Level II and Level III exams for 12 years.
 
Dr. McMillan is the Treasurer and a member of the board of directors of the Alexandria Police Foundation, which provides resources to Alexandria police officers that improve officer performance, morale, and effectiveness. He is also the treasurer and a member of the board of directors of Fort Dupont Ice Arena in Washington, DC.

Andrew ("Andy") D.W. Hill has more than 20 years of portfolio management experience in Investment Management. He is the President of Andrew Hill Investment Advisors, a boutique investment advisory firm that he co-founded with business partner Jennifer Figurelli in 2010. Over the past five years in business, the firm has grown to manage over $65 million in client assets while focusing on relationships between $400,000 to $4million.

Prior to forming his own firm, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager and regional Chief Investment Officer with two regional Trust banks. While at both institutions, Andy served in various nationwide investment strategy capacities including forming asset allocation recommendations and political research.

Andy holds an MBA from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Canisius College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Public Accountant in New York State. He is a Past President of the Financial Analysts Society of Naples. Andy was also recently inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society. He wrapped up his first semester as an adjunct professor at Ave Maria during the Spring semester of 2016.

Jennifer R. Figurelli, CTFA, is responsible for the firm's various financial concierge capabilities. Having worked alongside Andy for over a decade at various bank trust companies, Jennifer co-founded Andrew Hill Investment Advisors, Inc. in January 2010 with the desire to offer high-touch and personalized financial planning services.

A native Floridian, Jennifer has lived in Naples since 1976. She is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and also serves as the firm's Chief Compliance Officer. Jennifer has over 18 years of experience in the trust administration field, having worked for several large trust companies in the Naples area. She has significant experience working with individuals who are undergoing transition, such as retirement, death of a spouse or loved one, divorce, college expense planning, and special needs situations.

Edward Morton holds the position of Managing Director and is responsible for strategic planning and business development. Mr. Morton joined Wasmer, Schroeder & Company (WSC) in 2007 and has over 40 years of experience in the executive and financial fields. After serving his country as a Captain in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, Mr. Morton began his financial career in 1972 with the NCH Healthcare System. Mr. Alex "Pete" Hart
​Former CEO of MasterCard International

 

Alex W. "Pete" Hart is a consultant in consumer services, specializing in payment services and consumer finance. His particular focus is on emerging technologies and their impact on distribution strategies. Until 1997, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Advanta Corporation, a diversified financial services company. From 1988 to 1994, Pete was President and Chief Executive Officer of MasterCard International, the worldwide payment service provider. Concurrently he also served as Chairman of the Board of Maestro International, the global debit system, and was a member of the board of directors of Europay International. Before joining MasterCard, Pete spent ten years at First Interstate Bancorp, first as President and CEO of First Interstate Services Company, the system-wide technology and operations subsidiary. Later he served as Executive Vice President of Consumer Banking and Operations at the holding company. While there he became the founding Chairman of the Board of the Cirrus System, today the world's largest network of shared automated teller machines. Prior to First Interstate, Pete held a variety of consumer banking and marketing positions at First Chicago Corporation and BancOhio. In April of 2012, Pete retired as Chairman of the Board of the Silicon Valley Bank and SVB Financial. He is currently Chairman of VeriFone, Inc. (PAY), and is a director of Mitek Systems Inc (MITK), and BrightVolt, a private company offering micro-powered solutions for a variety of applications. In addition to SVB Financial, Pete has been a director of FICO, Global Payments, Inc, eHarmony, Shopping.com, Retek, HNC Software and Sanchez Computers. Garrett and Diana Richter have been married 42 years. They both smile with great pride and joy when talking about their three children, Melissa, Elizabeth and Robert and their five grandchildren, Ian, Leah, Santiago, Ignacio and Francisco. Senator Richter has served as president and director of First Florida Integrity Bank since the bank's opening in 2009 and as president of TGR Financial, Inc. since 2011. He served as the President Pro Tempore of the Florida Senate from 2012 to 2016.  He completed his final term as a Florida State Senator in November 2016. During his tenure in the Florida Senate, Garrett was chairman of the Senate Banking and Insurance Committee, the Senate Committee on Gaming and the Senate Committee on Ethics and Elections. He also served as chairman of the Florida Defense Task Force and the Public Service Commission Nominating committee. Additionally, he served on the Appropriations and Rules committees along with a number of other policy related committees. In 2016, the Florida Bankers Association's named Garrett the Banker of the Year for demonstrating his commitment to the banking industry and service to his community. He is a founding trustee of the Quest for Success program that focuses on improving the life of a child through education and a board member of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, and the Collier County Economic Accelerator. He is an alumni and past Board of Regents member for Leadership Florida and past chairman of Leadership Collier. Garrett served with the 75th Ranger Company in Vietnam. In 1971 he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, a Bronze Star, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. Garrett is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and the Graduate School of Banking at Madison, Wisconsin.​

Dr. H. Shelton Weeks is the Department Chair of Economics & Finance; Lucas Professor of Real Estate and director of the Lucas Institute for Real Estate Development & Finance at Florida Gulf Coast University. Dr. Weeks received his BS, MA, and PhD in finance from The Un​iversity of Alabama. He was a member of the inaugural faculty at Florida Gulf Coast University. He is the Co-Editor of the Journal of Real Estate Practice & Education and serves on the editorial board of Journal of Economics and Finance Education and the academic review panel for The Appraisal Journal. He teaches in the areas of corporate finance, investments and real estate. He has published multiple articles on pedagogical issues, corporate governance, and real estate. Dr. Weeks has extensive industry experience in valuation of real property with an emphasis on senior living projects. He is a member of the American Real Estate Society.
