FGCU | CFA Naples Mentoring Partnership

The CFA Society Naples is pleased to partner with FGCU's Lutgert Mentoring Program each fall and spring semester.

KEY BENEFITS:

• Encourage and assist local university students interested in Finance and/or Economics to gain a greater understanding of the various roles and functions available in the industry
• Connect each participating student with a CFA Society member and/or financial professional who will mentor the student during the tenure of the program
• Support and guide students in building and expanding their network, which will help in their subsequent job search

MENTORSHIP ASPECT:

• Become a mentor with FGCU's Lutgert Mentorship Program and be matched with a mentee (student) studying finance and/or economics
• Six mentor/mentee sessions throughout the course of the semester, with flexible scheduling
• All mentors and mentees are also expected to attend a kickoff breakfast reception at the beginning of the program

EDUCATIONAL ASPECT:

• Six breakfast meetings (in addition to the mentor sessions) with presentations by industry practitioners to cover the major areas of Finance
• Although mentors are not required to attend the breakfast meetings, mentees gain the most value when their mentors are present at these meetings
• The breakfast meetings will be scheduled on Wednesdays from 8am-9am

SCHOLARSHIP ASPECT:

• The CFA Society Naples will award a scholarship to worthy participant(s) at end of the program
