We recommend regular membership for candidates in the CFA program. The application process has three phases and typical takes several weeks to be approved. Regular membership requires:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience.
A passing score for the CFA Level I Exam or the self-administered Standards of Practice Examination
48 months of professional work experience in investment decision making
3 professional references
Local CFA Society membership (optional but strongly encouraged)
We recommend affiliate membership for investment professionals who do not intend to participate in the CFA Program or have not yet met the requirements for regular membership. Affiliate membership requires:
Student Membership in CFA Society of Nebraska Only: (CFA Institute Membership is not required)
Student Membership in the local Society requires enrollment in a university or college as:
- a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree, OR
- a full- or part-time graduate student pursuing a graduate degree
