Membership

​​Regular Membership

We recommend regular membership for candidates in the CFA program. The application process has three phases and typical takes several weeks to be approved. Regular membership requires:
  • ​A bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience​.
  • A passing score for the CFA Level I Exam or the self-administered Standards of Practice Examination​​
  • Local CFA Society membership (optional but strongly encouraged)

Affiliate Membership

We recommend affiliate membership for investment professionals who do not intend to participate in the CFA Program or have not yet met the requirements for regular membership. Affiliate membership requires:

Local Membership

We recommend local membership for those who do not intend to participate in the CFA Program but wish to be informed and involved in CFA Society New Mexico events, news and/or participate as a volunteer on committees. Local membership requires:

**For the Local Membership once your application is reviewed and approved we will send you an invoice for the annual dues amount.

Candidate/Student Membership

We recommend this membership for CFA Candidates who are actively pursing the CFA Charter and are currently registered for a CFA Exam or for active UNM or NMSU Students. Candidate/Student membership requires:
  • Non-charterholder that has passed Level I of the CFA Exam or the Standards of Practice Exam (self-administered)
  • Maintain an active CFA Program Candidacy 
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student (12+ credit hours) at University New Mexico or New Mexico State University 
  • Students must have an .edu email address
  • Annual Dues Free - a $95 value
