About the Portfolio Management Challenge

The CFA Society Nigeria Portfolio Management Challenge is a national student investment programme designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world portfolio management.

This is not a trading competition.

Participants learn portfolio construction, investment strategy, ethical decision-making, and disciplined investing through IPS-driven portfolio management using simulated portfolios and live NGX market data.

Many students learn finance in theory. This challenge allows you to apply investment concepts in practice. You will:

Team Track

  • For CFA Society Nigeria-affiliated investment and finance clubs only
  • Minimum of 10 students per team
  • Collaborative portfolio management

Individual Track

  • For students participating independently
  • Open to all undergraduate students across tertiary institutions
  • Lower barrier to entry
  • Ideal for students beginning their investment journey
