Marcy Rappaport, CFA
Director of Business Development and Consultant Relations

Marcy Rappaport is a Director at Xponance, Inc. where she is responsible for new business development and managing consultant relationships on the West Coast.  Marcy is a seasoned professional with 30 years of experience introducing investment solutions to institutional investors and consultants and developing infrastructure and processes to support the sales, marketing, and client service functions.

Before joining Xponance, Marcy was the Director of Marketing and Client Relationship Management at LongTail Alpha.  Her prior experience includes senior relationship roles at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, BlackRock, and PIMCO covering a range of traditional and alternative asset classes.  Previously she was a member of the Fixed Income portfolio management team at David L. Babson.  She began her career at Thomson Financial Services.

Marcy earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and received her BA degree, cum laude, from Wellesley College.  She is a CFA charterholder and has held FINRA Series 3, 6, 7, and 63 licenses.

Shari Freidenrich, Treasurer, Orange County

As Treasurer for the sixth largest county in the U.S., Shari's primary responsibility is the deposit, investment, collection and paying out of public funds.  She is responsible for overseeing the County of Orange’s $12 billion investment pool and serves as a trustee for the $20 billion Orange County Employee Retirement System.

Jon Gould,
Dean

Jon Gould is a distinguished scholar in justice policy, social change and government reform who has held key positions in the U.S. Department of Justice and the National Science Foundation. He assumed the deanship on Jan. 1, 2022.

Gould leads the nation’s first school of social ecology, established in 1970 in response to high demand for more socially relevant research. For more than 50 years, the school has been an internationally recognized pioneer in developing interdisciplinary approaches to social problems. Its highly ranked faculty in criminology, law and society; urban planning and public policy; and psychological science engage in research and education to foster informed social action and make the world a better place.

Gould’s expertise covers justice policy, social change and government reform. He was the principal investigator for the Preventing Wrongful Convictions Project, a multiyear research initiative funded by the National Institute of Justice. He is the author of five books and more than 100 articles and reports on such diverse subjects as erroneous convictions, indigent defense, prosecutorial innovation, police behavior, hate speech, sexual harassment and international human rights.

Gould has filled a range of government leadership roles, including senior policy adviser in the U.S. Department of Justice and director of the Law & Social Sciences Program at the National Science Foundation. In 2015, U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts appointed him as reporter for a committee of the federal courts evaluating the operation of the Criminal Justice Act. Gould is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a former U.S. Supreme Court Fellow and a former trustee of the Law & Society Association. He received the Administration of Justice Award from the U.S. Supreme Court Fellows Alumni Association in 2017.

Kurt Strasmann,
Executive Managing Director, Orange County & Inland Empire Region

Mr. Strasmann is the Executive Managing Director of CBRE’s Orange County and Inland Empire Operations. Mr. Strasmann’s responsibilities include leading a team of 500 professionals in the Orange County and Inland Empire Regions with direct oversight of all lines of business and services CBRE provides to the marketplace, which includes Sales/Leasing Advisory, Debt & Structured Finance, Property Management, Appraisal & Valuations, Project Management and Financial Consulting. Additional responsibilities include Mr. Strasmann serving as Executive Management Sponsor and Oversight for CBRE’s International Port & Integrated Logistics Specialty Practice Group (60 professionals operating in 12 countries).

Mr. Strasmann started his career in 1985 at Grubb & Ellis as an Industrial Real Estate Professional. During Mr. Strasmann’s 30-year career he has served in various leadership positions.

Mr. Strasmann is married to his wife Cynthia for 28 years, has three children and lives in Newport Beach, California. Mr. Strasmann’s interests include hiking, skiing, and community service.
