Sean Kulik, CPA,CA,CFA,CAIA
Sean has been a CFA Institute member since 2011. He is the Managing Director, Investments at Nunavut Trust, a closed endowment based in Ottawa. Sean focuses on overall asset allocation, manager selection, risk management, and portfolio monitoring. Sean is actively involved in the CFA Society of Ottawa, the CAIA Canada Chapter, and he currently sits on the investment committee for the University of Ottawa Telfer Capital Fund, and the Friends of the Ottawa Public Library. Sean holds a BComm from the University of Ottawa, is a CFA Charterholder, a CAIA Charterholder, and also a Chartered Accountant
Vice President
Roxana Lund, CFA
Roxana Lund is a Manager, Policy within the Government and Regulatory Affairs team of Brookfield Renewable. In this role, Roxana is responsible for conducting economic and policy analysis to support Brookfield’s advocacy efforts, with a focus on increasing the recognition of Brookfield’s renewable energy portfolio in environmental markets, state policies and procurements. Prior to joining Brookfield, Roxana worked as an Economist for the Canadian federal government at the Department of Finance, where she focused on resource and energy policy. Roxana graduated with First Class Honors in Economics and a Master of Arts in Economics from McGill University and the University of British Columbia, respectively. She is also a CFA charterholder.
Secretary
Ian Taylor, CFA

Ian is responsible for managing strategic and tactical asset allocation for more than $20 billion in MD portfolios, its Fund of Funds, and alternative investments. He also leads the research and analyses behind MD’s investment views. He is a graduate of the University of Guelph with a commerce degree specializing in management economics in industry and finance. Ian is a CFA Charterholder and is currently the Education Chair for the CFA Society Ottawa.
Treasurer
Sid Rajan, CFA
Sid Rajan is currently a Risk Manager at Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC). In this role, he is responsible for assessing the risks associated with a portfolio of Canadian financial institutions, as well as the overall Canadian financial system. He has also contributed to advancing Canada’s response to banks being “too-big-to-fail”. Sid’s prior experience in the financial sector includes work at the Bank of Canada as well as Export Development Canada. Sid is a graduate of Queen’s University’s Master of Finance (MFin) program and holds a BComm specializing in Finance from the University of Ottawa. Sid has been a CFA Charterholder since 2011 and has been an active Society volunteer since 2017.

Welsey Blight, CFA

Wesley is a Portfolio Manager with MD Financial Management Inc. (MDFM). His responsibilities include being lead manager for the MDFM fixed income and balanced investments, including the Canadian Equity Segregated Portfolio within MD Private Investment Counsel. He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa with an Honours degree in Finance and Human Resources. Wesley was previously the CFA Society Ottawa’s Vice President and has been a volunteer since 2011. Wesley is a CFA Charterholder and has earned the CIM and FCSI designations.
