CFA Society Pakistan has been celebrating gender diversity, with main focus on women engagement in the workforce, for the past four years through this award. We are highly encouraged and supported by CFA Institute in our endeavors which leads by example too with Ms. Margaret Franklin, CFA, joining as the first female President and CEO of CFA Institute in September 2019. Ms. Franklin is also a founding member of CFA Institute Women in Investment Management Initiative.

The Gender Diversity at Workplace Award recognizes those businesses that demonstrated the promotion of gender diversity and commitment to the progression of women within the company during FY2020.

Last year, we had indicated that we would like to add value to this exercise by encouraging sharing of best practices within organizations and recognizing innovative initiatives. Therefore, this year the awards will recognize the three best initiatives submitted to improve and encourage gender diversity in your organizations. The participating organizations are required to submit (1) certain statistics on gender diversity in workforce, (2) answer few closed questions and (3) provide details of initiatives.

We had arranged an in-person information session for participants last year to give a background of the awards and address any queries for submission etc. If you feel the need for such a session, kindly let us know by July 28, 2020 via email ( and we will arrange one through zoom meetings.
