Special Event: 15th Annual Forecast Dinner 

Event Description

​The CFA Society of Philadelphia will host its 15th Annual Forecast Dinner from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.   Join us to hear our panelists offer their thoughts on the financial markets and on the economy for the year ahead.

The Forecast Dinner will be held at Philadelphia 201 Hotel by Marriott.  Philadelphia 201 Hotel is the new name for the former Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel.  The hotel is conveniently located at 17th and Race Streets in Center City.  Philadelphia 201 Hotel boasts one of the largest ballrooms in the city, and has on-site self-parking and valet service available. 

Bob Pisani, CNBC "On-Air Stocks" Editor, will moderatethe panel.  A CNBC reporter since 1990, Bob Pisani has reported on Wall Street and the stock market from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange for more than a decade.  

Bob covered the real estate market for CNBC from 1990-1995, then moved on to cover corporate management issues before moving to the New York Stock Exchange in 1997.

Abby Joseph Cohen, CFA
Advisory Director and Senior Investment Strategist
Goldman Sachs

Abby Joseph Cohen is an advisory director and Senior Investment Strategist at Goldman Sachs & Co. She joined the firm in 1990 and was named partner in 1998. She began her career as an economist at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC.
Abby is a presidential councillor at Cornell University where she chairs the steering committee for the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute for Innovation at Cornell Tech and serves on the board of Weill Cornell Medicine. Abby is a board member of the Brookings Institution and the Jewish Theological Seminary, where she previously served as board chair. She is a former board chair of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute, which awarded her the Distinguished Service Award. Abby is an advisor to the investment committees of Cornell University, the Metropolitan Opera and other institutions. She previously served as vice chair of the board of the New York Economic Club, and on the national board of the Smithsonian Institution. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Abby is an adjunct professor at Columbia University and a guest lecturer at several graduate schools of business. She was a member of the Obama White House-appointed Innovation Advisory Board for Economic Competitiveness and serves as the GoldmanSachs liaison to the National Defense University of the US Department of Defense.
Abby earned degrees in economics from Cornell University and The George Washington University. She has received three honorary doctorates, including one in engineering. Abby is recognized as a leader US portfolio strategy, combining economics with market analysis. Her career is the subject of a Harvard Business School case study, a Business Week cover story, and a profile in the New Yorker, including cartoon.

Constance Hunter
Principal and Chief Economist

Constance Hunter is the Chief Economist of KPMG LLP. She is an economic thought leader focusing on how economic factors impact asset prices and business performance worldwide. In her role at KPMG Constanceworks closely with the firm's leadership and clients to identify inflection points, risks and opportunities that arise in the constantly evolving economic landscape. She is known for correctly calling economic indicators that presage market turning points such as the Russian currency devaluation in 1998, the Dotcom bubble in 2001, the real estate and credit crisis in 2007-08, the recovery of the housing market and concurrent low bond yields in 2012 and the continued low bond yields through 2016.

Constance has held high level positions in asset management for nearly two decades. She has held the position of Chief Investment Officer or Chief Economist for the past ten years. Prior to joining KPMG, she served as Deputy Chief Investment Officer at AXA Investment Managers where she helped manage over $500 billion in fixed income assets. 

She graduated with a BA in Economics and Sociology from New York University and with a Master's of International Affairs with a concentration on international economics from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. She holds the Certified Business Economist designation from the National Association for Business Economics.

Anthony Roth
Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer
Wilmington Trust

Anthony "Tony" Roth is Chief Investment Officer for Wilmington Trust, the wealth and investment advisory arm of M&T Bank. Tony plays a key role in developing anddelivering investment services for our wealth, institutional, and brokerage clients. He provides strategic direction for the firm's asset management investment activities including asset allocation, manager research, and portfolio construction. Tony leads the firm's Investment Strategy Team. 

Tony joined Wilmington Trust in 2014 with extensive experience in wealth management and investment advisory. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, Tony was Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Aquitaine Management in New York. Before that, he worked for UBS Wealth Management Americas as CIO, where he founded the Ultra High-Net-Worth Chief Investment Office. Earlier in his career, he was founder and co-head of the Advisory Services Division at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., served as director of the Family Wealth Group at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., and was a tax attorney at Cleary Gottlieb in New York. 

Tony earned his law degree from Harvard Law School. He holds a Master's degree in French and international tax law from Université Panthéon Sorbonne, and graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a degree in philosophy.
