Title

Downtown Special Event: "The Role of Alternatives in Investor Portfolios"

Event Description

Tuesday, January 28
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

LeBow Hall
Drexel University
3220 Market Street
Philadelphia, PA

Institutional investors and private wealth managers are struggling to meet historical returns through traditional investments such as equity and fixed income.  As a result, investors have increased their allocations to alternatives.

The percentage of the allocations in a portfolio to alternatives has nearly tripled over the last 20 years, and continues to be an area that clients are looking to diversify into in search of these return objectives. For example, the state of New Jersey has increased their alternative exposure from nearly zero ten years ago to over 30 percent today.

Join us on the campus of Drexel University for a lively panel discussions on the use of alternative investments in portfolio construction.

The following panelists will offer their perspectives on the current state of alternative investment strategies:

Jeremy has been working in the financial services field for over twenty years.  After beginning his career at regional CPA firms, Mr. Bach moved to the asset management field.  He joined Miller Anderson (now part of Morgan Stanley Asset Management) where he spearheaded their performance analytic and reporting efforts.   Later he served as Director of Client Service at Financial Software Systems.  In that senior role, he worked closely with traders and risk managers to understand their trading strategies and help them manage their risk.
