Fundamentals of Timberland and Farmland Investments

Please join us in April for an in-person luncheon featuring David Fortin of Manulife Investment Management.

Synopsis

For decades, investors have benefited from the unique characteristics of real assets. As the world faces multiple challenges including climate change, nature loss and rising inequality, investing in natural capital represents an exciting investment opportunity that can achieve a range of positive financial, environmental, and social impacts.

Our speaker will take a deep dive into natural capital focused on the timberland and farmland asset classes, and provide a compelling case for complementing real assets portfolios with an allocation to natural capital.

You will learn about:

  • Investment fundamentals and the benefits of adding these natural capital assets to a multi-asset institutional portfolio, and
  • How the increasing interest in real assets/natural capital and nature positive investing could augment traditional drivers of return to meet financial objectives, while having a positive impact on global ecosystems
