Benefits of Society Membership/

As of April 2021, there are over 3000 CFA charterholders in Shanghai. They work in various fields such as equities, fixed income, and private equity, in institutions focusing on fields such as asset management, commercial banking and investment banking.

CFA Society Shanghai offers high-quality services to support the careers of CFA charterholders, organizing many kinds of events, including professional lectures, career seminars and networking activities.

 

  • Professional Events

CFA Society Shanghai organizes professional academic lectures, seminars and large conferences on contemporary financial and investment-management topics. We promote the concept of lifelong learning and ongoing professional development to help our members have access to the latest trends in financial markets and improve professional skills

 

  • Networking

CFA Society Shanghai hosts regular networking events for members to develop their professional connections. We also operate the specific WeChat group to build high-quality communication channels for our members.

 

  • Annual Events
  1. Annual Conference: CFA Society Shanghai hosts an annual conference for members where they can develop their connections within the local community, share experiences and lessons learned, and set goals for the upcoming year. Panel discussions and keynote speeches featuring leading industry experts keep members' skills and expertise up to date, and outstanding volunteers, institutional partners, and ambassadors are recognized with awards.
  2. Charter Award: To inspire charterholders who have passed the rigorous CFA® Program exams to continue contributing to China's financial market development, CFA Society Shanghai organizes year-end recognition ceremonies, where senior members and leading industry experts are invited to present awards to charterholders.
  3. Research Challenge: CFA Society Shanghai runs local-level competitions in Shanghai for the CFA Institute Research Challenge. The annual global competition provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis and professional ethics. Each student is tested on their analytical, valuation, report-writing, and presentation skills, and gains real-world experience of life as a research analyst. The winners are invited to take part in the international finals.

  • Career Development

CFA Society Shanghai members get access to the latest industry insights and analysis of market trends by leading experts from global and local markets, as well as financial and investment management industry career resources. The Society also organizes career seminars co-hosted with financial institutions and universities.

  1. 年会：为增强会员归属感，增进会员之间的沟通，总结分享工作经验和成果，并制定未来一年的工作目标，CFA上海协会每年举办规模盛大的会员年会，并借此平台，对优秀志愿者以及机构合作伙伴等提出认可；通过主题演讲和论坛等丰富的形式，帮助会员提升专业技能、深度探讨投资话题、增加接触业界顶尖专家的机会。
  2. 授证仪式：为鼓励经过严格的CFA®课程学习和考试取得CFA认证的金融专业人士，继续努力为中国金融市场的发展贡献一份力量，CFA上海协会每年年底举办新持证人授证仪式，由资深会员、业内专家进行颁证。
  3. 全球投资分析大赛：CFA上海协会负责承办CFA Institute Research Challenge中国上海赛区的比赛活动，面向重点院校金融类专业学生，增进对证券分析实操的了解，并通过专家指导，为将来从事金融投资行业的研究工作奠定基础。
