At just over three years, JD has been in the investment industry for a relatively short period of time - having worked in Corporate Finance and as a lecturer before. He became a CFA® charterholder in 2016.

Thomas Chataika, CFA, CA(Z), CA(SA)

Thomas is the founder of INVESCI Asset Management company and has a wealth of experience managing investment portfolios for retirement funds and high net worth individuals. He started off his working career as an auditor with Ernst & Young Harare where he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. After leaving EY, Thomas worked as an analyst and portfolio manager for Datvest Asset Management where in 2004 Thomas was promoted to Chief Investment Officer. In 2006 Thomas moved to Johannesburg where he worked for BoE Private Clients as a Senior Portfolio Manager. Thomas returned to Zimbabwe and set up INVESCI in 2011. INVESCI is active in listed equities, property and private equity. On the academic side Thomas is a holder of the CFA Charter. Thomas is also a Chartered Accountant and is a member of both the Zimbabwean and South African Institutes of Chartered Accountants. He has over 12 years working experience in treasury, investments, economic research and auditing. In addition to being a CFA Charterholder, he is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). In 2007 she joined Prescient Securities where she contributed to the success of the firm as an Executive Director, Rated Research Analyst, Head of Equities and CEO for 2.5 years until joining Prescient Investment Management.
