Founded in 2000, CFA Society of Sri Lanka (formerly the Sri Lanka Association of Investment Professionals) is a not for profit organization supporting the professional development and advancement of CFA Charterholders. The society strives to provide members with a forum for the exchange of ideas, networking, educational programs, employment postings as well as opportunities to contribute for the benefit of the general investing public.
The Sri Lanka society membership comprises portfolio managers, investment analysts, corporate finance executives, academic and other investment professionals who practice in a variety of fields, including investment counseling and management, banking, insurance, investment banking, brokerage, government and international agencies. The membership has grown from 30 founder members at its inception to 204 charter holder members in 2017.
CFA Society Sri Lanka is associated with
CFA Institute, the global body that administers the Charterd Financial Analyst curriculum and sets voluntary, ethics-based performance reporting standards for the investment industry. CFA Institute is a non-profit professional association of more than 120,000 investment professionals across 140 countries.
