Charterholder Membership

The most distinguished professionals in the industry. Demonstrates a mastery of investment management skills and a commitment to continued excellence and ethics. Access to all member benefits.

  • Member of CFA Institute and CFA Society Tucson
  • 4000 hours of relevant work experience over 36+ months
  • Passed all three levels of the CFA Program
  • Professional references

Regular Membership:

​​We recommend regular membership for candidates in the CFA program. The application process has three phases and typical takes several weeks to be approved. Regular membership requires:
  • ​A bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience​.
  • Pass Level 1 of the CFA exam, Level II CIPM® or pass the self-administered Standards of Practice Exam 
  • 4000 hours of professional work experience in investment decision making​
  • 3 professional references​
  • Local CFA Society membership (optional but strongly encouraged)

Affiliate Membership:

We recommend affiliate membership for investment professionals who do not intend to participate in the CFA Program or have not yet met the requirements for regular membership. Affiliate membership requires:

Dues​

CFA Institute annual membership dues are $299 for Charterholder, Regular, and Affiliate. 
Society annual membership dues are $75 for Charterholder, Regular and Affiliate members.

Join or Renew

Student Membership:
  • Is available to those who are matriculating toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in good standing with the an accredited university or college in Arizona.
  • Is valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
  • Membership year - September 1 to August 31.
  • Individuals may maintain student membership status for 1 year after graduation or until the end of the membership year in which the student discontinues their studies at an accredited university or college in Arizona.
  • Student membership is only available to individuals who do not qualify as a Charterholder or Professional member.
  • Eller College finance students may be able to attend CFA member events for free.
