 Overview

Administered by CFA Institute, the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) Program is a graduate-level, self-study curriculum and examination program for investment specialists.

Established in 1962, the CFA Program sets the global standard for investment knowledge, standards, and ethics. Earning the credential can serve as a passport to entry or advancement within the investment profession around the world. The designation tells clients, employers, and colleagues that the charterholder has mastered a rigorous curriculum covering a broad range of investment topics and that he or she is committed to the highest ethical standards in the profession.

Our society encourages its members to earn the CFA charter and supports candidates by sponsoring CFA exam study groups and other programs. Many of our members hold the esteemed CFA designation.

 CFA Candidate Exam Prep

CFA Society Washington, DC can help you with the CFA exam and beyond.

Most importantly, we can help you academically. Our expert-taught study classes for Level I, II and III are a great way to prepare for the CFA exam and offer a host of study methods — class room instruction, study notes, web instruction, practice questions and mock exams. We have teamed up with Kaplan Schweser, a leading test prep provider, so we can offer all these useful study options. All Level I, II and III classes are taught by CFA charterholders who professionally specialize in the area they teach.

We can also help you financially. We offer scholarships for both the CFA exam and our study classes. We provide candidates free-of-charge access to the complete set of CFA Candidate Readings.

Finally, becoming a member of our society will help you professionally. The society offers continuing education events and opportunities to meet and network within the metro DC investment

community. We also offer a Candidate Membership category for those taking the CFA exam and/or enrolled in a graduate program. The Candidate Membership is less expensive than the Regular Membership rate and allows candidates to take our study classes at a discounted price.

If you have any questions about the help we offer, please call the CFA Society Washington, DC office at (202) 872-4310.
