Current Volunteer Opportunities

Mentorship Program: Every year, approximately fifty new CFA Charterholders join the greater Baltimore investment community, and approximately 300 candidates sit for a CFA exam. These individuals, committed to professional excellence and ethics, will one day lead our investment community. The CFA Society Baltimore Mentorship Program has been developed to allow these young professionals to connect with seasoned charterholders who can offer career guidance and be a sounding board as they begin their journey as CFA Charterholders. CFA Charterholders are needed as mentors. Click here to learn more about volunteering.

CFA Societies Baltimore and Washington, DC Research Challenge: Another season of the annual CFAI Global Investment Research Challenge is about to kick off! The Research Challenge offers investment management professionals like you the opportunity to give back to the profession and help develop future talent by volunteering in the following capacities:

  • Industry Mentor: Provide guidance and feedback to students during the development of their research report and presentation.
  • Grader: Review written reports and score them according to a predetermined point system.
  • Judge: Listen to oral presentations of the reports, quiz students on their research and recommendation, and then evaluate them accordingly.

If any of these volunteer opportunities pique your interest, please contact Robyn Osten ([email protected]), indicating which role you would be willing to fill.
