Naoyuki Igarashi, CFA (Senior General Manager, Head of Alternative Investments, Japan Post Insurance) Naoyuki Igarashi is Senior General Manager and Head of Alternative Investments at Japan Post Insurance since April 2025, where he leads the firm’s alternative investment strategy across private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and hedge funds. He joined Japan Post Insurance in 2019 with responsibility for private equity investments, and later moved to the Investment Planning Department to work on firm-wide asset allocation. In April 2024, he was appointed Head of the CIO Office, where he played a key role in shaping the company’s overall portfolio strategy before assuming his current role. Prior to joining Japan Post Insurance, he held investment roles at Taiyo Life Insurance covering fixed income, equities, and alternative investments. His experience spans both traditional and alternative asset classes, providing him with a comprehensive perspective on portfolio management and investment strategy within the Japanese life insurance industry. Naoyuki Igarashi is a CFA Charterholder. He holds an LL.B. from Keio University Kaoru Onishi (Chief Investment Officer, Head of Investment Department, Alternative Investment Capital Limited (“AIC”)) Ms. Onishi joined Alternative Investment Capital Limited (“AIC”) in April 2026 as Chief Investment Officer and Head of the Investment Department, and currently serves as Chairperson of the Investment Committee for funds-of-funds and managed accounts. She joined Nippon Life Insurance Company in 1996 and spent nearly 30 years with the firm. In 2003, she was seconded to Nippon Life’s New York subsidiary, where she was involved in the launch of the Nippon Life Group’s private equity investment program. Following this assignment, she spent over 20 years primarily engaged in externally managed fund investments across alternative asset classes, contributing to the enhancement of long-term, stable investment returns. Most recently, at Nissay Asset Management, she oversaw alternative investments for Nippon Life’s general account, including private equity and venture capital funds, real estate and infrastructure funds, private debt, and high-yield bond funds. Subsequently, as an Executive Officer, she was responsible for discretionary and advisory management of fund-of-funds mandates for group life insurance companies as well as third-party clients. She is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan and completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 2022. Rob Langrick, CFA (Chief Product Advocate, CFA Institute) Rob Langrick, CFA, CIPM, is Chief Product Advocate for CFA Institute based out of the New York office. He was previously GM of the CFA Program and before that Head of Practice Analysis, overseeing annual curriculum updates to the CFA Program. Before joining CFA Institute, he led Bloomberg’s finance education division where he built and launched Bloomberg’s certification product, which has now garnered over 1M designation holders. He began his career as a sell-side equity research analyst in London and after earning his MBA from Dartmouth worked in the private equity diligence unit of Bain & Company in New York. Unnat Kohli, CFA (Director, Partnerships & Client Solutions, APAC, CFA Institute) As Director, Partnerships & Client Solutions, APAC, Unnat is responsible for supporting our key stakeholders – institutions and universities – on their learning and upskilling needs and collaborating with CFA societies to deliver high quality services and support to Candidates, Members, and other key stakeholders. Unnat is a well-rounded financial services professional with 20+ years of global distribution experience in North America and Asia. Before joining CFA Institute, Unnat worked in Manulife for 14 years in Hong Kong and Canada, with his most recent role being, Senior Director, Asia Partnership Distribution responsible for bank partnership performance improvement and business development initiatives. Before moving to Canada, Unnat worked in India as a Credit Analyst in ICRA Limited (Indian partner of Moody’s Investor Service) and in Corporate Sales in ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited. Unnat is a CFA Charterholder. He has an MBA (with distinction) from the Ivey School of Business, Canada, and a bachelor’s in economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.
