    Japan Investment Conference 2026/

    May 27, 09:00 AM - 08:30 PM (JP)
JAPAN INVESTMENT CONFERENCE 2026 Moving Forward to a Global Assets Management Power II: Diversification and Beyond: New Frontiers in Asset Management- Date:Wednesday, May 27, 2026 Reception Open (9: 00 am) Seminar Begins (9:20 am)  Venue:Tokyo Convention Hall (http://tokyo.conventionhall.jp/access.html) (Tokyo Square Garden 5F, 1-1 Kyobashi 3 chome, Chuo-Ku Tokyo 104-0031 Japan) Host:CFA Society Japan In detail please go to  https://www.cfasociety.org/japan/society-events/conference Registration: https://cvent.me/KybO3r?RefId=JIC 2026 A Fee: From CFA Society Japan Members (early bird discount 6,000 yen) Program Overview The Japan Investment Conference (JIC) is the flagship event of the CFA Society Japan, annually addressing critical and timely themes for the asset management industry. It is the Society's largest conference in terms of both attendance and operational scale. Each year, we welcome speakers from regulatory authorities, practitioners, and experts, both domestically and internationally, to discuss challenges in investment management. This year's topic is Moving Forward to a Global Assets Management Power II: Diversification and Beyond: New Frontiers in Asset Management. As Japan strives to become a Leading Asset Management Center, discussions will focus on the challenges and prospects for strengthening asset management power, particularly enhancing the capabilities of domestic capital markets and domestic asset managers, exploring these themes across three asset classes: fixed income, equities, and alternative investments.   The topic of the previous conference, JIC2025 Moving Forward to a Global Asset Management Power I, attracted the highest number of participants to date, underscoring the continued attention to asset management in our country. While the shift from deposits to investments is steadily gaining traction thanks to government initiatives, revitalizing domestic capital markets and further enhancing asset management capabilities are essential not only to increase national wealth but also to develop Japan's asset management industry. In particular, strengthening the capabilities of domestic asset management companies is imperative. Despite being a long-standing challenge, prospects for significant progress remain limited.   At JIC2026, we will delve into the challenges and outlook for each asset class—traditional assets such as bonds and equities, and alternative investments—hoping to find clues to resolving longstanding issues. Regarding fixed income, as monetary policy begins its path toward normalization and we return to a world of interest rates, we will examine future market trends and new investment strategies. We will also discuss the challenges facing the Japanese bond market and potential solutions in the unusual supply-and-demand environment created by the Bank of Japan's massive bond holdings. For the equity market, we examine the current state and challenges of investment entities and strategies amid its ongoing upward trend since emerging from deflation. Against the backdrop of the Tokyo Stock Exchange's initiatives to raise management mindful of capital costs and stock prices, engagement is gaining attention as a key to enhancing corporate value. We delve into the current state and challenges of engagement in equity investing. Regarding alternative investments, while once targeted solely at institutional investors, they are now expanding into the individual investor market. However, the majority are investment products originated overseas. We will explore whether there is a viable path for alternative investments managed by domestic asset managers. We will also examine the current state, challenges, and outlook for new alternative investments (frontier investments). CFA Society Japan [email protected]

Evento del Comité de Alternativos: EVERGREENS & MERCADOS PRIVADOS: ¿INNOVACIÓN ESTRUCTURAL O MODA D

    May 28, 07:30 PM - 09:00 PM (CET)
EVERGREENS & MERCADOS PRIVADOS: ¿INNOVACIÓN ESTRUCTURAL O MODA DE CICLO? 28/05/2026 - 19:00 h. Contaremos con los siguientes ponentes: Jack Wasserman , CFA Managing Director at Pantheon (joined 2025, 10 years of private markets experience) Jack is a Managing Director in the International Private Wealth team. He previously worked in the Schroders Capital Business Development team responsible for Global Infrastructure distribution. Jack holds a Bsc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Leeds and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Jack is based in London. Kollure, Thima l,  CFA Thimal is an Investment Director at Mercer with close to 15 years’ experience designing and managing total portfolios across liquid and illiquid fixed income for institutional investors. They now specialize in fixed income investments guiding investors through portfolio construction, manager selection, and risk management. REGISTRO Saludos, CFA Society Spain EL COMITE DE ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS CUENTA CON EL PATROCINIO DE

    Management Skills Workshop: Executive Presence

    Jun 1, 07:00 PM - 09:00 PM (CET)
Executive presence may be a bit of a mysterious competence, but it is definitely not a physical trait like height or the color of your eyes. It is a fascinating set of attitudes, concepts, and behaviors. It can be studied, practiced, learned and taught - and it’s worth making a deliberate effort to get to the next level. If you are playing a role in your organization, playing it well is worth some extra effort.

ALL IN: Women Rewriting the Playbook of Wealth

    Jun 2, 12:00 PM - 01:00 PM (ET)
ALL IN: Women Rewriting the Playbook of Wealth Please join us for a Speaker Luncheon as CFA Society Virginia presents Heidi Nel, COO of New Theory Ventures. More than $100 trillion will change hands over the next two decades — and women are expected to control approximately 70% of it. In the U.S. alone, women are projected to hold $34 trillion by decade's end. Some are inheriting wealth; others are building it. From founders and next-gen inheritors to family office executives and institutional allocators, women are growing their share and deploying capital with intention. In this presentation, Heidi Nel, COO of New Theory Ventures, explores how women's growing economic power is reshaping who controls capital and how it flows — and the catalytic moves in confidence, care, connection, and collective action that will define the next era of wealth. For financial professionals, this is not a trend to observe from the sidelines. It is one of the most significant opportunities, and imperatives, of our time. Heidi Nel Heidi Nel is a family office executive and seasoned operator with cross-sector experience spanning private capital, public policy, media, and communications. As COO of New Theory Ventures, she built and now leads a single-family office focused on directing capital to women—investing in early-stage female founders and engaging the next generation of women investors. Heidi graduated from North Carolina School of the Arts, holds Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Private Wealth certificates from Berkeley Law and Wharton, was an adjunct instructor at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy, and serves on the board of Startup Virginia, where she lives with her family.
