The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis and professional ethics. Each student will be tested on their analytical, valuation, report writing, and presentation skills. They gain real-world experience as they assume the role of a research analyst.
CFAP is the host of the local, Philadelphia-area competition. Twelve area schools submitted research reports on the Subject Company, Carpenter Technologies (NYSE: CRS). The reports are graded by a group of CFAP volunteers. The student teams with the top four scores advances to the local Finals Event at the Union League. The finalist teams will present their research to a panel of judges to determine the local winner. Our local winner will advance to the regional rounds of the competition.
