The Bond Club of Philadelphia and CFA Society Philadelphia are excited to announce a joint event featuring analysts from Bloomberg! The evening will feature a panel discussion, followed by a cocktail reception. The speakers will discuss current consumer trends and what developments could emerge in the coming months.

Jody Lurie, CFA
Jody Lurie is a senior credit analyst for Bloomberg Intelligence specializing in leisure, lodging, and gaming companies, as well as other special situations.
She has covered a broad range of industries across investment grade and high yield. Prior to joining Bloomberg, she was a Director at Janney Montgomery Scott, holding various roles throughout her tenure in credit analysis, macro fixed income strategy, portfolio construction, and investment banking. Previously, Jody worked at Citigroup-Smith Barney.
Jody is a CFA charter holder. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College, where she received her A.B. magna cum laude in Mathematics and Economics.
David Havens
David Havens is a senior credit research analyst for Bloomberg Intelligence specializing in North American non-bank financial companies such as REITs, business development companies, alternative asset managers, private equity, consumer lending, mortgage lending and insurance.
Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2021, he spent 25 years as a sell-side credit research analyst. He was Co-Head of US credit research at UBS and was a Managing Director at Nomura, RBS and most recently, Imperial Capital. Before that, he was an executive director at Standard & Poors, following global insurance credits. He started his Wall Street career at Chemical Bank.
David is a graduate of Middlebury College, where he majored in Economics.
Himanshu Bakshi
Himanshu Bakshi is a credit analyst for global banks at Bloomberg Intelligence. Prior to Bloomberg, Himanshu worked as an analyst at Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and Horizon Asset Management in New York, and as a project manager at Prothious Engineering Services in Mumbai. Himanshu holds an MBA in Finance from Pace University and a bachelors in engineering from Mumbai University.
Jean-Yves Coupin, CFA
JY Coupin, CFA is a senior credit analyst covering the healthcare sector. JY has extensive experience analyzing high grade and high yield, US and European corporate bonds, healthcare, and industrials sectors. Prior to Bloomberg, JY was Vice President, Senior Analyst at Moody's Investor Services.
Dr. Jon Scott from Temple University's Fox School of Business will moderate the discussion.
