The CFA Society Serbia successfully hosted its event for the Women in Investment Management (WIM) initiative on April 15, 2025, in Belgrade. The dinner gathering brought together female members of the society for an evening of networking, mentorship, and professional development.
Distinguished Guest
The event featured special guest Regina Gaysina, one of the founders of Collaborative WIM (Women in Investment Management) based in the United States. Ms. Gaysina, a Past Board Director of CFA Society New Mexico and current CWIM Ambassadors Co-Chair, shared her insights and experiences with attendees. Throughout her career, she has held progressively senior roles at RBC Capital Markets, where she developed significant expertise in municipal finance.
Creating Connections
The member-only event provided participants with a valuable opportunity to expand their professional networks and strengthen community bonds within the investment management field. The intimate dinner setting fostered open dialogue about challenges and opportunities for women in finance.
"Last night's dinner was more than just great food and conversation — it was a reminder of the power of connection, mentorship, and showing up for one another," noted an attendee. "Every woman at the table brought something unique: stories, wisdom, courage, and of course, laughter."
Leadership and Organization
The event was organized by CFA Society Serbia members Natasa Djorovic Bijanic, CFA, Danijela Mirkov-Arkula, CFA, MSc (Oxon), and Ivana Todorovic, CFA, PhD, who were praised for their warm welcome and thoughtful coordination of the gathering.
Moving Forward
This event represents an important step toward the CFA Society Serbia's commitment to supporting and fostering a more inclusive and diverse investment and finance sector.
As participants reflected on the evening, many expressed gratitude for the honest conversations, shared ambitions, and collective encouragement experienced during the event. The society plans to continue building such opportunities for connection and growth among its female members.
"Let's keep building rooms like this — and making space for more seats at the table."
