In early June, the 14th Annual General Meeting of the society took place in Vransko, where we elected the new Board of Directors for the 2026-2028 mandate period.
Andrej Petek, CFA, was elected as the new president of the society. We sincerely congratulate Andrej on his election and wish him great success in leading the society and achieving goals that will continue to strengthen our professional community in the future.
Živa Petkovšek, CFA, was elected as vice president, Matija Filiplic, CFA, as treasurer, and Katja Lukman, CFA, as secretary. The members of the Board of Directors for the new mandate will also include Dejan Goljuf, CFA, Kruno Abramovič, Bojan Ivanc, CFA, CAIA, Tina Kastrevc, CFA, and Denis Marinšek, PhD, CFA. The new Board of Directors will begin its mandate on July 1, 2026. Congratulations to the new leadership and thank you to all members for their trust!
On this occasion, we would like to sincerely thank the outgoing president, Dejan Goljuf, for his four years of dedicated work and important contribution to the development of the society. We are pleased that he will remain an active member of the Board of Directors in the upcoming mandate in his role as Immediate Past President.
Special thanks also go to Barbara Kolenc, FCCA, CFA, and Mateja Živec, CFA, who are concluding their service on the society's Board of Directors with this mandate. We also thank Blaž Hribar, CFA, who is finishing his work as the society's auditor.
Meeting was enriched by a safe driving workshop at the AMZS Safe Driving Centre Vransko, where we upgraded our skills and knowledge of safe vehicle control under professional guidance. Following the formal part of the assembly, we listened to a presentation by this year's winning Research Challenge team, consisting of Matej Mivšek, Aljaž Colnar, Lars L., Miha Marčun (and Jure Mihelj Nagode). They once again presented their valuation of the company Salus Group, with which they achieved an outstanding 3rd place at the global finals in Hong Kong!
CFA Society Slovenia looks forward to future gatherings, with the next major event being the traditional Asset Allocation Outlook, which will take place on September 16, 2026, at the Ljubljana Castle. You are cordially invited!
