Volunteer Opportunities with CFA Society South Florida

Volunteers are the foundation of CFA Society South Florida. They organize events, facilitate services, support the local investment community and make a difference in the world of finance. Thousands of CFA Institute members have been doing so since 1947, and we hope you’ll consider applying your particular talents and expertise as a volunteer.

Interested in Being A Society Director?

Please email a completed application to admin@cfasouthflorida.org if interested in serving as a director for CFA Society South Florida's board. Only regular and regular retired members are eligible. Members with past volunteer service preferred.

Advocacy Committee

The advocacy committee coordinates local advocacy outreach efforts within South Florida and is the primary communicator of CFA Institute advocacy initiatives—ethics, standards, and policy issues. Contact [email protected]

Education Committee

The Education Committee's goal is to meet learning needs of society members and future members of the society. Each year we organize a Level I review course for candidates. This involves finding qualified and capable instructors, locations and meeting time, evaluation of instruction, ordering materials and assisting candidates with other needs. We also help organize candidates into study groups and assist them in their exam preparation.

The Education Committee also sponsors information sessions each year for area candidates to introduce them to the society and begin preparations for the following year. In the future, we will work with the Programs Committee to develop programs to meet the continuing education requirements of society members and meet other education needs.
