External event at Vlerick Business School: How to invest in Green Real Assets 20 April 2023
Many thanks Jan De Bondt and Vlerick Business School for inviting CFA Society Belgium members to the event "How to invest in Green Real Assets?", with interesting contributions and insights from Ingrid Edmund - Columbia Threadneedle, Jose-Luis Pellicer - M&G, and Nathan Rousseaux - Ageas.
The event has an exciting agenda, including a deep-dive into startup metrics, an update on Faraday's Benelux portfolio companies and a panel discussion on startup acceleration with well-known accelerators
Utilizing a data centric approach banks, insurance companies and asset owners can set up a business operating model which allows them to 1) be maximally in control of their own organizations and outsourcing partners 2) match and monitor their investments (allocation), risks, controls and performance much more accurately and continuously by continuous (stochastic) forecasting over short and long horizons be way cheaper and much more flexible ie. adding new services and/or products (“libraries”) and 3) make decision making and the effectuation thereof near real time; no adverse price developments
account for their investment policy vis a vis their clients, shareholders and supervisors by matching actual vs plan any time
which only requires cash flow neutral implementation (no Capex) against a solid business case on Opex and value creation.
