Sergio Gonzalez, CFA - President

Sergio González, CFA serves as Head of Asset Management at Cohen, a brokerage firm with presence in Argentina and Uruguay. Sergio is a professional with more than 10 years of experience in the financial industry. At his different jobs, he carried out tasks such as equity research, fixed income and corporate finance, portfolio management, and programming of technological tools. His work experience includes having worked at Chevron, Exxon Mobil, Argentine Chamber of Mutual Funds and Criteria.

He has been a volunteer at CFA Society Argentina since 2015 where he served in different areas such as Digital Communications, Research Challenge and University Relationship. Throughout his years of volunteering, he was pleased to participate in different leadership conferences organized by the CFA Institute. In 2019 he was chosen by his peers as volunteer of the year.

Sergio is a Public Accountant. He graduated from the San Andrés University, and obtained the CFA designation in 2015.

Mariano Fiorito, CFA - Vicepresident 1°

Mariano Fiorito, CFA is Country Head for Argentina & Uruguay at Schroders, a world-class asset manager. Before his current position, Mr. Fiorito was the Team Head Portfolio Manager for the Argentina investment desk at Schroders.

Mr. Fiorito oversees Schroders Argentina & Uruguay office at a managerial, administrative, commercial and strategical level.

Mr. Fiorito joined Schroders in 2009 as a Fund Manager and, after ten years of a successful career, became Team Head Portfolio Manager of Schroders, leading the investment strategy of more than 20 different Fixed Income and Equities mutual funds. In August 2022, he was appointed Country Head of Argentina & Uruguay.

Before joining Schroders, Mr. Fiorito served as a Credit Analyst at Banco Patagonia, where he joined a Young Professionals program. Subsequently, he was appointed as Portfolio Manager.

Mr. Fiorito hold a degree in Finance from the Argentine University of Enterprise (Universidad Argentina de la Empresa, UADE). Mr. Fiorito earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) in 2019. Additionally, Mariano serves as a volunteer at CFA Society Argentina.

Lionel Modi, CFA - Vicepresident 2°

Lionel Modi, CFA is a professional and entrepreneur with a recognized trajectory in financial markets. An investor by nature and passionate about capital markets, economics, and technology. His style is characterized by a strategic and creative approach, with a relentless focus on technology and disruption.

Throughout his career, he has held senior roles in Asset Management, Wealth Management, Venture Capital, and Growth at top-tier companies. He has managed investments, driven businesses, fostered innovation, and led global teams. His positions have included Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Franklin Templeton Investments, Chief Investment Officer at Grupo Orígenes, and in the digital assets space, Head of Economic Growth at IOV Labs.

Currently, he is the Managing Partner of Dyhedge and Chief Investment Officer of Bituin, where he aims to bring excellence, innovation, and professionalism to the financial market.

Additionally, he is a Professor at the Business Schools of the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and Universidad del CEMA. He has participated in discussion forums and working groups dedicated to the development and growth of Argentina's Capital Market and Pension System. In digital assets, he serves as Advisor on economic growth strategies, fundraising, tokenomics, and governance systems for decentralized projects.

Felipe Lanari Zubiaur, CFA - Secretary

Felipe Lanari Zubiaur, CFA is a consultant for HNW families in Argentina. He has been working in the wealth management industry for more than 15 years. In his early career, he worked for UBS in Buenos Aires.

Felipe received a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina. He obtained the CFA designation in 2012 and is actively volunteering at CFA Society Argentina since 2017. Currently he serves as member of the board.

Santiago Padua, CFA - Treasurer

Santiago Padua, CFA works as Finance Director at Pomelo, a company that provides technology and infrastructure to launch and scale fintech companies in Latin America.

Santiago is a professional with more than 15 years of experience in the financial industry. He worked in different positions within the private equity, real estate, M&A, equity research and corporate finance branches. His work experience includes having worked as Corporate Finance Sr. Manager at Mercado Libre, the largest e-commerce in Latin America, COO at Draper Cygnus, a venture capital fund, Associate at Grupo Pegasus, one of the largest investment groups in Argentina, as well as Senior Consultant at EY and Senior Research Analyst at Crisil Global & Research Analytics.

Santiago has been a volunteer at CFA Society Argentina since 2011 where he served in different areas such as jobline, research challenge and prep courses. Throughout his years of volunteering, he was pleased to participate in different leadership conferences organized by the CFA Institute. Additionally, he has acted as a judge for the Americas regional final of the CFA Institute Research Challenge.

Santiago has a degree in Economics, graduated from the National University of Cuyo, and obtained the CFA designation in 2012.

Mateo Fabian Reschini, CFA - Vocal

Mateo Reschini, CFA is currently Head of Research at Inviu. He has more than 10 years of experience in research positions both from argentine and global markets, focusing in macroeconomic research as well as currencies and fixed income. Before Inviu he worked at other brokerage firms in Argentina honing his experience in local markets.

Agustina Naymé Isidro, CFA - Account auditor

Agustina Naymé Isidro, CFA, is an Equity Portfolio Manager at BBVA Asset Management Argentina. She has 12 years of experience in capital markets, with a focus on equity research and portfolio management.

Agustina began her professional career at Crisil, where she worked as a Research Analyst. She was later selected for an international relocation to New York City to serve as a Senior Research Analyst, gaining exposure to global equity markets.

Following this international experience, she returned to Argentina and joined Latin Securities, where she continued to specialize in equity research and investment analysis.

Agustina earned the CFA designation in 2019 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad de San Andrés.

Agustin Ortiz Fragola, CFA - Account auditor

Agustin Ortiz Fragola, CFA is currently Managing Partner at Parakeet Capital SA, a brokerage firm oriented to corporates and institutional investors.

Agustin has more than 15 years working at the financial industry in Buenos Aires at prestigious institutions such as Banco de Crédito y Securitizacion, Banco de Servicios y Transacciones and Quinquela Asset Management, where he became a fixed income specialist, negotiating a variety of instruments in the secondary market and issuing debt for many of the largest companies in the country.

At CFA Society Argentina, Agustin volunteered in different areas and gained a deep knowledge of the challenges societies face every day.

Nowadays he is one of the main connections the board has with industry professionals. Before becoming President, he served as Vice President, Treasurer, PR Chair and Events Chair.

Lucia Cabrera started working for the Society in March 2020.

Lucia is a graduate of the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa in Public Relations. She began her professional career as a communication consultant, and for more than ten years she has worked with not-for-profit organizations, including Fundaleu and Asociación Amigos del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, amongst others.
