Added to this, the evolution of the pensions industry and the return of country risk, given ongoing geopolitical tensions, mean the landscape for real estate investment looks fragile.
Global property investors can no longer rely on yield compression and cheap debt – there needs to be a fundamental shift in mindset. However, there are sectors, countries and strategies that could offer an attractive combination of income and growth, to help mitigate these challenges.
