Jane Thornburgh
Jane began her investment career in 1977 at Nationwide Insurance Company in Columbus, Ohio, where she worked as an equity research analyst supporting the management of Nationwide’s equity portfolio. In 1980, she relocated to New York City to attend the New York University Stern School of Business, earning an MBA in Investments and Finance in 1982.
Following graduate school, Jane joined Prudential Insurance Company, where she was part of a direct lending team managing private debt portfolios across investment grade, high-yield, and mezzanine investments, as well as private equity investments through leveraged buyouts.
In 1990, Jane was recruited by Ameritrust (now KeyBank) in Cleveland, Ohio, to establish its Corporate Finance Department, where she developed the firm’s private placement offering. In 1992, she transitioned to the Trust Department as a Portfolio Manager, advising affluent, multi-generational families by coordinating investment management, trust and estate planning, tax planning, and family office services.
Jane’s final role was Vice President and Senior Director at BNY Mellon, where she helped establish the firm’s Cleveland office.
Jane holds a BSBA in Finance from The Ohio State University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®). She has been actively involved in the community, serving on the Rainbow Babies & Children’s Foundation Board with responsibility for overseeing the Foundation’s investment portfolio. She also served as President of the Diabetes Association of Cleveland and as a member of the Corporate Board of the Holden Arboretum.
Haley Schubert, Senior Managing Director, Clearstead
Haley Schubert is a Senior Managing Director in the Private Client Group at Clearstead, where she advises affluent, multi-generational families by coordinating comprehensive investment management, trust and estate planning, tax planning, and family office services. She has worked in the investment management industry since 2017, joined Clearstead in 2021, and is a shareholder of the firm.
Haley brings expertise in investment policy development, asset allocation, manager selection, and portfolio monitoring. Prior to joining Clearstead, she served as an Assistant Vice President and Investment Advisor at PNC Wealth Management in Cleveland. Throughout her career, she has led investment strategy initiatives and provided tailored advisory solutions to high-net-worth families.
Haley earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from Miami University and holds both the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designations. She is actively engaged in the community, having served on the Rainbow Babies & Children’s Foundation Associate Board, including two terms as Treasurer on the executive committee. Haley currently serves on the Ambassador Committee of First Tee – Cleveland and is Co-Chair of Membership.
