Jojo Kakra Bannerman, CFA 

Jojo Kakra Bannerman, CFA is a seasoned finance executive with over 15 years of leadership experience in capital markets, derivatives, and sovereign advisory across Africa. He is Executive Director and Head of Markets and Banks & Broker Dealer Sales at Standard Chartered Bank Ghana, where he drives strategic client engagement, risk-managed growth, and cross-border market development across West Africa. Throughout his career, Jojo has advised governments, regulators, and financial institutions on liability management, debt restructuring, innovative funding strategies, and the use of financial derivatives for risk management.

Kwame Adjei Boateng, CFA 

Adjei Boateng is the Chief Investment Officer at Blackstar Group with over a decade of experience driving exceptional returns and pioneering investment solutions in emerging and developed markets. Currently leading Blackstar Group’s investment platform, delivering the best-performing fund in Ghana for three consecutive years and breaking new ground with Ghana’s first Global equity and S&P 500-tracking funds. Strategic thinker skilled in multi-asset allocation, risk management, and building high-impact teams for pensions, institutions, mutual funds, and HNW clients.

Dennis Appiah Kubi, CFA

Dennis is a finance, strategy and risk management professional with over 13 years of experience spanning investment management, corporate finance, internal audit and risk management. He is currently the lead Management Control Auditor for the Africa West Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he provides strategic insights, leads internal control evaluations, process improvements and supports top-level decision-making.

Julis Ebenezer Akpe, CFA 

Julius is a Senior Manager in the Transaction & Corporate Finance unit at EY Ghana, where he leads the Valuation, Modeling, and Economics Advisory line of service. With a proven track record in financial advisory, he provides strategic leadership across key service lines, including capital raising, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), financial restructuring, and complex valuation engagements. His expertise spans multiple industries, including financial services, private equity, manufacturing, energy & natural resources, telecommunications, transportation and real estate.

Kojo Darpaah, CFA

Kojo is the Director of Markets at Fidelity Bank, where he leads the Financial and Capital Markets teams with a mission to unlock global financial markets for Africa’s collective wealth creation. With over a decade of leadership in treasury, trading, and market development, He fuses global best practices with deep local insight to deliver superior, risk‐disciplined returns. Previously serving as Treasurer at Universal Merchant Bank, Kojo also served as Head of Trading at FNB Ghana — where he built the Global Markets and Treasury units from the ground up — and as Assistant VP, Fixed Income at Barclays Ghana, earning the Best Trader Award for Africa Markets. A CFA Charterholder with an MS in Financial Engineering, he serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Board Treasurer for Fairtrade Africa.

Theophilus Forson, CFA 

Theophilus possesses nearly a decade of experience in retail investment advisory, banking, and consulting, having built his career at the intersection of finance and infrastructure. As a Manager at PwC Ghana, he specialises in developing innovative financing solutions to support the development and operation of critical infrastructure in Ghana and the broader subregion. Driven by a deep passion for finance, he applies his expertise to assist businesses and organisations in securing appropriate funding to scale their operations and achieve their strategic objectives. He has spent half of his growing career as a licensed investment advisor and the other half mainly in consulting and advisory.

Nana Wiafe Boamah, CFA 

Nana Wiafe is the Chief Investment Officer at Stanbic Investment Management Services. Prior to this, he was the Chief Investment Officer of Axis Pension Trust, where he worked on Strategic Asset Allocation for the Trust’s assets and works with external managers to implement investment policies. Nana also doubled as the Managing Director of Axis Wealth Management, responsible for client acquisition and client financial planning.

Vice Chair, Finance Committee

Aaron Amponsah, CFA, CA

Aaron is an investment professional with 7 years of experience in banking, finance, and asset management. Most recently, he was Portfolio Manager at Investiture Fund Managers in Ghana, managing an €18M multi-asset portfolio. Prior to that, Aaron was an International Graduate Trainee in the Financial Markets team at Standard Chartered Bank Ghana, where he worked on repo, FX, fixed income, and structured products.  He began his career in 2017 at the Ghana Ports & Harbours Authority and has also supported the project coordinating team for the Receivership of the collapsed 23 savings and loans companies.
