Rich will talk about five issues he believes to be paramount for which each investor should take a view, rather than delegating it. First, he will address the comparative advantage in governance: in which asset classes are we winning the war for talent and the data/digital/technology arms race, in a way that will facilitate opportunistic investment / rebalancing in a crisis, and / or give us confidence about grinding out excess returns over time?
He will also address:
- Potential course of the energy transition megatrend, given exponential cost decline and adoption growth curves for renewables; alternatives – How much is too much? Any “bubbly” areas? What are emerging/frontier private markets?
- Geopolitics as a potential trigger to test our opportunistic investment / rebalancing disciplines
- AI
- China and “non-aligned” emerging and frontier markets
