    Sustainable Investing Webinar: Managing the ESG Backlash: Investor Implications and Opportunities

    This month we are hosting a virtual panel discussion exploring the focus that the use of ESG in investment processes continues to receive in the US. During the hour, we will examine the associated challenges and look at ways that investors can address them.  Joining us on the panel are Josh Lichtenstein, Partner and Head of ERISA Fiduciary Practice at global law firm Ropes & Gray, and Dazzle Bhujwala, Senior Director at Ceres, a sustainability nonprofit advocacy organization. The moderator for this panel is Fionna Ross, Head of Americas Sustainability Institute at abrdn and CFAP SITLG Program Committee Member.    About our panelists:     Josh Lichtenstein, Partner and Head of ERISA Fiduciary Practice, Ropes & Gray LLP  Josh is based in New York and heads Ropes & Gray’s ERISA fiduciary practice. He focuses on finding creative and practical solutions to issues involving the investment of plan assets in a constantly evolving asset management landscape. His expertise includes the DOL’s evolving fiduciary standards and guidance on plan investments and ESG considerations, as well as fiduciary governance best practices and litigation risks.    Dazzle Bhujwala, Senior Director, Ceres  Dazzle is a sustainable investing advisor and net zero strategist. He supports institutional asset owners and asset managers in advancing investment practices and policies related to key sustainability issues including climate change, biodiversity, and water. Dazzle conceptualized and led the Private Equity Working Group that supports general partners and limited partners with climate-centric investment frameworks and tools to assess and manage climate risks and opportunities. He has also led the management of the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative (NZAM).
