Unlocking continuous learning opportunities: Exam Waivers & Fast Track Paths for CFA Charterholders

CFA Charterholders gain tangible advantages when pursuing additional professional certifications worldwide, often qualifying to skip entry-level exams or fast-track to advanced levels. This not only accelerates credentialing but also supports continuous professional learning and development. Some of the most notable programs offering these waivers include:

- 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐫, 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫, 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 – Serbian SEC /Komisija za hartije od vrednosti
If you hold CFA Level III, the only requirement is passing the exam section on local regulations.
 
- 𝐂𝐀𝐈𝐀 (𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐭) – CAIA Association
CFA Charterholders are eligible for a Level I exam waiver and may enter the CAIA Program directly at Level II.

CFA Charterholders can skip CIPM Level I and register directly for Level II, due to overlapping ethics and performance-measurement content.

- 𝐏𝐑𝐌 (𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫) – PRMIA - Professional Risk Managers'​ International Association
CFA Charterholders receive exemptions from certain PRM exams (typically PRM Exam I), reflecting shared material in risk management and quantitative analysis.

- 𝐂𝐌𝐓 (𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧) – CMT Association
 Active CFA Charterholders are exempt from CMT Level I and may begin the program at Level II.

In addition to these, many other local and international certifications recognize the CFA Charter, offering similar waivers and exemptions.
