CFA Society Ireland Marks 40 Years of Professional Excellence 
On Tuesday evening, CFA Society Ireland proudly celebrated its 40th anniversary with a special dinner at Fallon & Byrne, bringing together members, past leaders and distinguished guests to mark four decades of advancing the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and excellence within Ireland's investment industry.
The evening was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the Society's journey since its founding in 1986 and to celebrate the people who have shaped its success over the past 40 years. We were honoured to welcome several of the Society's founding members, alongside past and present Board members whose dedication and leadership have helped build the vibrant professional community we enjoy today.
We were also delighted to be joined by many esteemed guests from across the investment industry, as well as members of the CFA Institute Research Foundation Board of Trustees, whose presence made the occasion particularly special.
A highlight of the evening was a presentation from Antti Ilmanen, Principal and Global Co-head of the Portfolio Solutions Group at AQR Capital Management. Antti shared insights from his latest paper, Understanding Return Expectations, exploring the challenges investors face in today's markets and offering valuable perspectives on setting realistic long-term investment expectations. His thought-provoking presentation sparked engaging conversations that continued throughout the evening.
As we celebrated this important milestone, the dinner served not only as a reflection on the Society's rich history but also as an opportunity to look ahead. Over the past four decades, CFA Society Ireland has grown into a thriving community committed to supporting investment professionals through education, professional development and the promotion of the highest ethical standards.
