Book Club開催報告：リチャード・カッツ氏が語る日本の経済の行方と政治の変化
2025年1月31日、日本 CFA協会は、オックスフォード大学出版から刊行された『The Contest for Japan’s Economic Future: Entrepreneurs vs. Corporate Giants（邦題：日本経済の未来を巡る戦い：起業家 vs. 大企業）』の著者であるリチャード・カッツ氏をお招きし、40名以上の参加者を迎えて対面でのブッククラブイベントを開催しました。
カッツ氏は、著書の主題に加え、日本経済が直面する岐路や、起業家が大企業優位の環境の中で直面する課題について洞察に富んだ解説を行いました。また、米国におけるドナルド・トランプ氏の政界復帰や、日本の政治情勢の変化についてもタイムリーな見解を共有され、参加者との活発な意見交換が行われました。
質疑応答セッションでは、参加者から多数の質問が寄せられ、インタラクティブで充実した時間となりました。イベントの最後には、ネットワーキングとサイン会が行われ、会場には終始活気と知的好奇心があふれていました。

Book Club Report: Richard Katz on Japan’s Economic Future and Political Shifts
CFA Society Japan was pleased to welcome over 40 participants to an engaging in-person Book Club session featuring Mr. Richard Katz, author of “The Contest for Japan’s Economic Future: Entrepreneurs vs. Corporate Giants” (Oxford University Press).
Mr. Katz provided insightful commentary on Japan’s economic crossroads, exploring the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in an environment dominated by large corporations. In addition to key themes from his book, he also offered timely reflections on the return of Donald Trump to U.S. politics and recent shifts in Japan’s political landscape, sparking thoughtful discussion among attendees.
The Q&A session was dynamic and interactive, with many participants engaging directly with the author. The event concluded with a warm networking and book signing session, where ideas continued to flow.
We extend our thanks to all who joined and look forward to hosting more enriching Book Club sessions in the months ahead.
