Regular Membership
Provides seasoned industry professionals affiliation with CFA Institute and access to exclusive member benefits for continued education and career development.

- Pledge to adhere to the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct
- Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or have equivalent education or work experience
- Pass Level 1 of the CFA exam, Level II CIPM® or pass the self-administered Standards of Practice Exam
Affiliate Membership
Individuals who are not qualified for CFA charterholder or regular membership can align with CFA Institute and take advantage of member benefits.
- Be accepted as an Affiliate Member of CFA Institute by meeting their requirements
- Agree to adopt the CFA Institute Code and Standards
- Must be sponsored by one Charterholder/Regular and the applicant's supervisor, one of which must be a member of the Society. If the supervisor requirement cannot be met because the applicant is the principal of the firm, a student, retired, self-employed, or if providing a supervisor sponsor places the applicant in a difficult professional position, then an additional sponsorship by a Charterholder/Regular Member of CFA Institute is required.
Dues
CFA Institute annual membership dues are $299 for Charterholder, Regular, and Affiliate.
Society annual membership dues are $150 for Charterholder, Regular and Affiliate members.
