Beyond the cycle: capital, ROIC, and long term returns

Robert made the case that long term returns are driven less by economic growth and cycles than by the capital cycle and returns on invested capital. As markets move into a more capital intensive, AI enabled era, the question he left with the room was which business models can sustain ROIC above a rising cost of capital.
